- Old Richmond Exteriors offers peace of mind through our certified LEAD–SAFE Work Practices. We comply with all lead-safe work practices in homes built prior to 1978. This is in accordance to the Lead Abatement Program.
- On April 22, 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) required the use of lead-safe practices and other actions aimed at preventing lead poisoning.
- Beginning, 04/26/2010, contractors who perform renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead based paint in homes, child-care facilities, and schools, which were built prior to 1978, must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
- The EPA requires firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in pre-1978 homes, be certified by the EPA, and that they use certified renovators, who are trained by EPA approved training providers to follow lead-safe practices.
